Escaping Domestic Violence, Sodoma Law York Takes a Stand

Every minute, nearly 20 people are physically abused by their domestic partner in the US. In response to this growing situation, we at Sodoma Law pooled our resources and the knowledge of all of our family law attorneys and created this downloadable e-book: “Escaping Domestic Violence: What You Need To Know“. This “What to know when it happens” style e-book provides helpful legal insight, and guidance to anyone who may be in, or know someone in an abusive relationship

“For many years, domestic violence was not talked about,” said Nicole Sodoma, Founder and Managing Principle of Sodoma Law. “Today, while the conversation around domestic violence has become more public, awareness must continue to be raised. Our firm wants to equip people with the necessary information to find safety and adequately prepare a strong Domestic Violence Protective Order.”

The book highlights the importance of contacting the authorities, developing a safety plan, and preserving evidence such as photos, text messages, and phone logs. Readers are also reminded that no matter the situation, physical or emotional abuse should not be tolerated.

I met Nicole two years ago as I was going through my separation and eventual divorce. I do not think I would have survived the roller coaster ride of this process without Nicole and her rock star team by my side.
